I was surf fishing Mission Bay beach in San Diego 9-30-25, throwing sand crabs and all kinds of plastics. I pulled out the recently purchased dried lug worms, broke off a third size piece and threaded onto my hook. Tossed it out and I was getting hit on every cast, the barred surf perch bite was on! These weren’t monster fish but they were fun to catch. So many advantages using these baits. There are plenty in each package, no smelly slime on your hands and they stay on the hook fairly long. These baits will always be part of my fishing arsenal!

I was asked to try out some of the O.B.E. Lugworms to see if they would hook fish in Hawaii and I must say that I was skeptical at first. Hawai’i fish are very picky and don’t just bite anything on a hook. Not only have the lugworms gotten much action but I’ve caught multiple species of target fish including: Papio, O’io, Ta’ape , To’au, Moana, weke, Hagi, eels, even some crabs be swimming up to smash these worms! I have multiple YouTube videos out using the lugworms with success-even some fishcam footage of the catches! Highly recommend getting you a pack of these and just try em-you won’t regret it! Grabbed some dried lugworms from Online Baits Express and they were straight up fishy 🔥. Threw one out and landed a chunky calico not long after. No mess, no fuss — just rig, cast, and bend rods. These are clutch to have in the pack, especially when live bait ain’t an option. Definitely keeping these in the rotation!

Tested it on the West Coast, surf fishing with a high low rig, lungworm vs sand crabs. Works perfect, some fish prefer them to live sand crabs. I guess they're overeaten by sand crabs :-)) I can highly recommend this great dried bait. It's very easy to handle and place on the hook.

My first purchase definitely won't be my last and I have already been promoting them to fellow friends that want to find a reliable local source of bait without having to waste whole batch and stink up the family car because they were forgotten. No issues with my purchase.. Also Fat live worms!

I gave this 5 stars because this is the most it allows me to rate it. I would give a hundred if I could. Before finding out about these I would always come back home with a stinky trunk and gear bag if I wanted to use bait. Now I just chuck a couple bags of the dried lugworms in and whenever I feel like it I can throw it on the same setup I throw my lures on (Carolina rig).
After being rehydrated it works just as good if not better than any other bait (squid, shrimp, etc.). I mostly fish lures but if when I do use bait on the surf, ya bet I'd be throwing these!! No more stinky gear bag!

For the last 4 days, I’ve been fishing the the SoCal surf using dehydrated lugworms . In total, I have caught (and released) in 3-4 hour/day sessions, 76 barred surf perch of various sizes.

I switched to lug worms from convential baits and plastics and never going back! I've caught countless species and broken PB's like crazy ever since making the switch. From perch, YFC, corbina to bigger fish like halibut and WSB , it catches it all!

Best bait you can buy! Only thing thay was getting bit out of live sand crabs and shrimp.
